Dawn earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (with Honors) from the University of Saskatchewan in 1992. After graduating, she worked as a nurse for several years while juggling her passion for health & fitness as a group instructor. Shortly after the birth of her two daughters, Dawn decided to follow her heart and work fulltime as a group & personal trainer. Dawn applies her nursing foundation with her clients, working with each person individually to empower them to be the best they can be.
Dawn enjoys sharing her knowledge with others at many different levels. As a result, she has presented to fitness leaders at various conferences across Western Canada. Since 1997, Dawn has taught fitness at various clubs, private & public, in Alberta, BC and her present home, beautiful Kelowna. As a group fitness instructor, Dawn enjoys teaching spin/cycle, boot camp, strength & yoga classes. She has also had the opportunity to create & lead local, outdoor bootcamps since 2008 which benefit local charities by contributing 100% of the proceeds.
Additionally, with a strong interest in weight training, Dawn has competed in bodybuilding, placing third overall in the Northern Alberta lightweight division in 2007.
Dawn is also a Nationally Accredited Educator with Canadian Fitness Services (CFES) and teaches fitness related courses at Okanagan College.
